American Fascism

America has devolved into a fascist society. It may seem shocking to hear this, but it is true. We all pledge allegiance to the flag, to freedom, and justice for all, but what do we really experience? It's not freedom, and it's not justice.

Fascism is a system of Statism where the individual retains ownership of property but does not retain control of its use. In other words, it's like Socialism in that the government controls the economy, but instead of outright ownership, they simply create a web of rules and regulations and edicts that force you to comply with their wishes.

I intend to illustrate that our current government is not destroying Capitalism, but instead that we destroyed Capitalism long ago, and now we are moving from Fascism to Socialism. I will do so in a series of blog posts where I illustrate a particular aspect of life in our society.

If we are to return to prosperity, if we are to escape statist slavery and return to freedom, we need to discard our government and establish a new system, tightly bound by the proper role of government: protection of individual rights. The new government will only perform three functions:
1) Police - To protect us from each other
2) Military - To protect us from other nations
3) Courts - To protect us from fraud and settle contractual disputes

If, and only if, we are able to establish this government, will will then realize actual freedom, and we will enjoy tremendous prosperity.
